Anne-Laure EsquirolP. Eng., M.A.Sc.
Specialties: Chemistry, Metallurgy and Materials Engineering
Anne-Laure Esquirol joined the Materials & Metallurgical Engineering group at CEP-Sintra in September 2013, after earning a master's degree in chemical engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal. Anne-Laure obtained a bachelor's degree in materials engineering in 2011, at Institut des Sciences de l'Ingénieur de Toulon et du Var in France. Moreover, in 2008, she completed a technical program in engineering physics at Institut Universitaire Technologique Joseph Fourier in Grenoble, also in France. These various experiences allowed her to acquire thorough practical and theoretical skills in different materials-related areas, and more specifically in the fields of polymers and polymer chemistry.
As a Forensic Engineer, Anne-Laure carries out on-site accident investigations, performs simulations and laboratory testing, analyzes and characterizes macroscopically and microscopically all types of material and prepares expert reports. During her years of graduate studies, Anne-Laure took part in failure analysis investigations, degradation analyses and faulty behavior studies of materials. She conducted laboratory testing and simulations to verify hypotheses on the nature and cause of numerous failure analyses. She is particularly interested in investigating incidents involving polymeric materials.
